SAM unaware of reasons for share spike

KUALA LUMPUR: Sam Engineering and Equipment (M) Bhd is unaware of the reasons for the sharp rise in its share price to a record of RM10.80 amid strong volume last Friday.

In a reply to Bursa Securities yesterday, the company said it was not aware of any rumours or report concerning its business and affairs that may account for the trading activity.

Last Friday, its share price surged by RM2.48 or limit-up to RM10.80.

SAM Engineering settled at RM10.68, down 12 sen, at the close yesterday.
