Tasco sees six-fold jump in Q1 earnings


Tasco said both its international and domestic business solutions segments recorded increased revenues, reflecting the broad-based recovery of business activities amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

PETALING JAYA: Tasco Bhd’s net profit jumped almost six-fold to RM15.77mil for the first quarter ended June 30, 2021, from RM2.64mil in the corresponding quarter last year.

During the quarter in review, the company’s revenue grew 62.4% to RM290.05mil from RM178.57mil in the previous corresponding period.

Tasco said both its international and domestic business solutions segments recorded increased revenues, reflecting the broad-based recovery of business activities amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

It said its prospects are closely tied to the performance of the global and Malaysian economy, as the health of the logistics industry is closely aligned with economic activity and international trade.
