Mercury bags RM450mil construction job in Johor Baru 

KUALA LUMPURL MERCURY INDUSTRIES BHD has secured a RM450mil contract to build three blocks of serviced apartment and SOHO units in Johor Baru, Johor.

The project was awarded by Solusi Kelana Sdn Bhd.

Work of the project was scheduled to start on Sept 1 and would take 32 months to complete.

"The Contract is expected to contribute positively to Mercury’s consolidated earnings and net assets for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2021 and onwards, during the duration of the Contract," it said in a filing today.

The contract includes piling, sub-structure, super-structure and infrastructure works for three blocks of commercial strata totalling 2,432 units.
