Trading ideas: Hong Seng, WCT, Y&G, Enra, T7 Global

KUALA LUMPUR: JF Apex Research expects Hong Seng Consolidated Bhd, WCT Holdings Bhd, Y&G Corp Bhd, Enra Group Bhd and T7 Global Bhd to be among the stocks to watch on Friday.

Hong Seng Consolidated has entered into a joint venture (JV) with LiGNO Holdings Sdn Bhd to market the latter's medicinal products.

LiGNO, which is ISO22000, HACCP, GMP, halal and organic certified, specialises in the cultivation of medicinal herbs and manufacturing of supplements.

WCT’s 60:40 joint venture (JV) with China Communications Construction Co (M) Sdn Bhd (CCCC) has accepted the tender offer as the main contractor for the expansion of the Sapangar Bay Container Port in Kota Kinabalu for RM899.81mil.

Y&G Corp, whose share price hit limit up yesterday after surging 30% to RM1.66, said it has no idea what might have caused the sudden price jump.

This was in response to Bursa Malaysia's unusual market activity (UMA) query earlier.

Enra Group has proposed to acquire four properties and selected assets such as plant, equipment, inventories and machinery from MTU Services (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd for RM60mil for leaseback deal.

The group said it has also proposed to collaborate with MTU Services to grow ENRA’s existing maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) business.

T7 Global's subsidiary T7 Aero Sdn Bhd has been appointed Malaysia distributor for New Zealand-based Atrax Group NZ Ltd weighing and measurement products, which are catered to the airport and logistics sectors.

Meanwhile, the US market declined overnight as jobless claims were higher than expected.

Similarly, European stocks dropped following renewed concerns about economic recovery.

“After yesterday's selldown, the FBM KLCI could consolidate above the psychological level of 1, 500 points, ” JF Apex said.
