KUALA LUMPUR: Kawan Food Bhd, Yong Tai Bhd, Sunway Bhd, Seni Jaya Corp Bhd and AirAsia Group Bhd are among the stocks to watch on Thursday, according to JF Apex Research.

Kawan Food has invested RM7.28mil in a solar photovoltaic installation at its headquarters in Pulau Indah Selangor Halal Hub.

Yong Tai, which has partnered China-based Shenzhen Kangtai Biological Products Co Ltd to supply Chinese-produced Covid-19 vaccines in Malaysia, is targeting to offer its vaccines to the private sector by September or October.

Sunway Bhd announced an upward revision of its property sales targets to RM2.2bil from its previously set target of RM1.6bil in January 2021, following higher contributions from its overseas projects.

AirAsia said its digital unit AirAsia Digital has acquired Gojek’s operations in Thailand, and that it plans to launch its super app in early August. AirAsia Group CEO Tan Sri Tony Fernandes said the “win-win” all-share deal worth US$50mil sets both parties with a strong foundation to explore additional avenues for collaboration in Asean.

Meanwhile, the US market was positive overnight with the S&P hitting another record high after the 10-year Treasury note yield declined.

Earlier, European stocks ended higher after the European Commission lifted its GDP forecast.

Following the recent flattish trend, JF Apex said the FBM KLCI could extend its sideways trend above the support of 1, 520 points.
