Income from e-commerce up 30% to RM254b in 1Q 2021


Income from e-commerce transactions surged 30.0 per cent year-on-year (y-o-y) in the first quarter of 2021 (Q1 2021) to RM254.6 billion.

KUALA LUMPUR: Income from e-commerce transactions surged 30.0 per cent year-on-year (y-o-y) in the first quarter of 2021 (Q1 2021) to RM254.6 billion from RM195.9 billion in Q1 2020, according to the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM).

In a statement today, chief statistician Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Uzir Mahidin said in 2020, income from e-commerce rose 32.7 per cent to RM896.4 billion compared with 2019.
