Higher profit for UWC in third quarter


In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, UWC said the improved performance reflected the effectiveness of the group’s ongoing technology-driven improvement initiatives, which prioritised on quality enhancements, increased production utilisation and cost efficiency.

PETALING JAYA: UWC Bhd’s net profit for its third quarter ended April 30, 2021 rose to RM23.04mil from RM14.59mil in the previous corresponding period, spurred by developments in both the semiconductor and life sciences industries.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, UWC said the improved performance reflected the effectiveness of the group’s ongoing technology-driven improvement initiatives, which prioritised on quality enhancements, increased production utilisation and cost efficiency.
