Trading ideas: Yinson, See Hup, BAuto, Majuperak, Lay Hong, MMAG


KUALA LUMPUR: JF Apex Research expects Yinson Holdings Bhd, See Hup Consolidated Bhd, Berjaya Corp Bhd, Bermaz Auto Bhd, Majuperak Holdings Bhd, Lay Hong Bhd and MMAG Holdings Bhd to be among the stocks to watch on Wednesday.

Yinson has entered into a deal with Singapore's SMRT Corp Ltd's corporate venture arm to co-invest an undisclosed amount in an autonomous vehicle start-up named MooVita Pte Ltd.

See Hup has secured a RM91.03mil contract today from China Communications Construction (ECRL) Sdn Bhd to construct part of the subgrade works for the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL).

Berjaya Corp said it has divested its entire 51% stake in Berjaya Auto Alliance Sdn Bhd (BAASB) comprising 6.12 million ordinary shares to Bermaz Auto and other shareholders of BAASB for a cash consideration of RM6.67mil.

Majuperak has called off a plan to develop large-scale solar photovoltaic projects in Perak jointly with Cahya Suria Energy Sdn Bhd.

Lay Hong has proposed to acquire the remaining 50% stake in Sri Tawau Farming Sdn Bhd (STF) it does not already own for RM28mil in a related party deal. STF is involved in poultry farming and mini-market operations.

MMAG has clarified that its recently-acquired chartered flight company, M Jets International Sdn Bhd, has obtained the Air Operator Certificate from the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia.

Microlink Solutions and Danapuri Sdn Bhd — a member of Bangladesh-based Dipon Group — have formed a strategic joint venture (JV) to pursue digital transformation projects in Bangladesh and the West Africa region.

K-One has received approval from the Medical Device Authority, an agency under the Ministry of Health, to sell low dead-volume disposable syringes with needles in Malaysia.

Meanwhile, the US market was flat overnight as investors await the latest inflation data tomorrow to gauge the economic recovery.

European stocks posted slight gains as the continent's 1Q revised GDP was better than expected.

Following the recent flattish trend, JF Apex said the FBM KLCI could remain sideways above the support of 1,550 points.
