Iris announces deal extension

KUALA LUMPUR: Iris Corp Bhd has announced a contract extension with Senegal’s Interior Ministry for the supply and production of three million new biometric smart national identity and voter cards.

It said in a filing with the local bourse that the contract is valued at FCFA10.5bil (about RM80.39mil) and set for a duration of two years commencing May 3,2021.

“The contract will contribute positively to the earnings of Iris during its tenure, ” the company said.
