PPB Group posts higher 1Q net profit of RM402.18m


KUALA LUMPUR: PPB Group Bhd’s net profit for the first quarter ended March 31,2021 (Q1) rose to RM402.18 million from RM187.27 million a year earlier mainly due to higher contribution from Wilmar International Limited and higher profit from the grains and agribusiness segment.

Revenue increased five per cent to RM1.12 billion previously while basic earnings per share rose to 28.27 sen from 13.16 sen before.
