KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s inflation rate increased to 4.7% in April from a year ago, the highest since 2018, due to the spike in crude oil prices which fuelled the increase in petrol and diesel prices.
Chief Statistician Malaysia, Datuk Seri Mohd Uzir Mahidin said yesterday the April CPI was the highest inflation since 2018.
