Bursa says half-day trading session on Wednesday


KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia will close for trading in the afternoon on Wednesday and all day on Thursday and Friday in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.

In an announcement on Monday, the stock exchange operator said trading on Bursa Malaysia will be opened for the morning session only. There will be no trading in the afternoon session.

However, clearing, settlement and depository services provided by Bursa Malaysia Depository and the offices of Bursa Malaysia Securities and Bursa Malaysia Derivatives will continue as usual and remain open until the end of the business day.

Bursa Malaysia and its subsidiaries will be closed on Thursday and Friday and they will resume operations on Monday, May 17.
