MyCIF 2020 investment at RM165mil


The Securities Commission (SC) said the investment has benefitted 1,197 micro, small and medium enterprises. These co-investments were deployed alongside private sector investments which totalled RM431mil.

PETALING JAYA: The Malaysia Co-Investment Fund (MyCIF) had co-invested RM165mil in 5,349 equity crowdfunding and peer-to-peer financing campaigns as at end-2020.

The Securities Commission (SC) said the investment has benefitted 1,197 micro, small and medium enterprises. These co-investments were deployed alongside private sector investments which totalled RM431mil.

“The SC supports new digital financial innovations and MyCIF has been successful in assisting our startups, ” said SC chairman Datuk Syed Zaid Albar in a statement.
