Quick take: Censof surges 30%, most active on Bursa

KUALA LUMPUR: Shares in Censof Holdings Bhd were hotly traded in early trade with over 148 million shares done, making it the most active stock on Bursa Malaysia.

The financial software firm surged 30.26%, or 11.5 sen to 49.5 sen.

Microsoft Corp signed five memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with government agencies and local companies to train about one million Malaysians by end-2023 to help create economic opportunities for people and businesses in the digital era.

"Microsoft will also partner with Censof Holdings, Silverlake Group and Web Bytes to accelerate digital transformation in the nation’s key industries, including financial services, retail, food and beverage, as well as the public sector," Microsoft Malaysia managing director K. Raman said.

Earlier this month, Censof announced the completion of its acquisition of a 30.87% equity interest in Asian Business Software Solutions Pte Ltd (ABSS) for RM14.1mil.

With the completion of the acquisition, Censof's stake in Asian Business has increased to 89.07% from 58.20% previously.
