SC imposes penalty on Sandra


The penalty was imposed for failing to comply with requirements of the International Standards on Auditing when auditing a public interest entity.

PETALING JAYA: The Securities Commission’s (SC) audit oversight board (AOB) has imposed a monetary penalty amounting to RM47,500 on Sandra Segaran a/l Muniandy @ Krishnan, a former partner of Ernst & Young PLT.

The penalty was imposed for failing to comply with requirements of the International Standards on Auditing when auditing a public interest entity.

In a statement, the SC said it has reduced the penalty amount to RM47,500 from RM63,000 on April 8,2021, following an appeal filed by Sandra to the regulator.
