MSM shutting down ops temporarily


In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, MSM said the temporary production shutdown was effective from March 31,2021, adding that the rectification will enable the plant to achieve its targeted utilisation factor by the third quarter of 2021.

PETALING JAYA: MSM Malaysia Holdings Bhd is temporarily shutting down production of its MSM Sugar Refinery (Johor) Sdn Bhd refinery in Pasir Gudang, Johor, for two months, to allow for the plant’s boiler rectification following a breakdown.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, MSM said the temporary production shutdown was effective from March 31,2021, adding that the rectification will enable the plant to achieve its targeted utilisation factor by the third quarter of 2021.
