FGV appoints Dzulkifli as chairman

KUALA LUMPUR FGV Holdings Bhd has appointed Datuk Dzulkifli Abd Wahab as non-independent and non-executive chairman effective today.

Dzulkifli, 65, has 35 years of experience in the plantation field, where he began his career with the Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) in 1977.

He was appointed as the director-general of Felda in 2009 where he held the position for three years until 2012.

Dzulkifli is currently a member of the Group National Association of Smallholders Malaysia (NASH) – the Think Tank Group and also a consultant/head of energy and resources industry at Evant & Co.

“We are confident that under Dzulkifli’s leadership and extensive experience, FGV will be able to continue its BP21 transformation programme and achieve greater heights,” group CEO Datuk Haris Fadzilah Hassan said in a statement.

“On behalf of the group, I would like to express our deepest appreciation to Datuk Wira Azhar Abdul Hamid for his service as chairman from Sept 8, 2017 until March 3,” he added.
