IOI Corp offers to relinquish 5,000ha of disputed land in Sarawak

KUALA LUMPUR: IOI Corp Bhd has offered to relinquish its interest over 5,000ha of land, in a breakthrough in the IOI Pelita land dispute with local communities in Tinjar, Sarawak.

In a statement, IOI Corp said the intended relinquishment of interest by IOI Pelita would be on remaining land (out of the total land area of 9,000ha) which has not been planted with oil palm by them.
