Tenaga shortlisted for bid to develop solar plant in Bukit Selambau

KUALA LUMPUR: Tenaga Nasional Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary, TNB Renewables Sdn Bhd (TRe) has received a Letter of Notification (LoN) as a shortlisted bidder from the Energy Commission (EC).

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Monday, the group said the LoN dated March 12 is for TRe to develop a 50 megawatts of AC power (MWac) (75 MWdc) large scale solar photovoltaic plant in Bukit Selambau, Kedah subsequent to a competitive bid process conducted by the EC.

It added that the LoN requires TRe to fulfil certain requirements, which will be issued by the EC in due time. - Bernama
