FGV launches animal feed brand ALMA


Group chief executive officer Datuk Haris Fadzilah Hassan (pic) said the company’s domestic sales of palm kernel expeller (PKE) and animal feed products have increased from only 8,000 tonnes in 2018 to 39,000 tonnes last year, with a compound annual growth rate of 121%.

KUALA LUMPUR: FGV Holdings Bhd through its subsidiary, FGV Integrated Farming Holdings Sdn Bhd, has launched its high-quality animal feed brand, ALMA.

Group chief executive officer Datuk Haris Fadzilah Hassan (pic) said the company’s domestic sales of palm kernel expeller (PKE) and animal feed products have increased from only 8,000 tonnes in 2018 to 39,000 tonnes last year, with a compound annual growth rate of 121%.

“For 2021, FGV is allocating 75,000 tonnes, equivalent to 20% of our annual PKE production for the production of animal feed, and we target to achieve 150,000 tonnes by 2024. — Bernama
