PETALING JAYA: UMW Holdings Bhd continued to see strong car sales in February this year thanks to the sales tax exemption which has been extended to June 31, as well as the introduction of improved models.

In a statement yesterday, the group said UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd (UMWT) had achieved sales of 5,074 units last month, 32% higher than the 3,845 units registered in January supported by the strong demand for the improved Vios and Yaris launched in December last year, as well as the enhanced Fortuner and Innova introduced in February also.
