Sime Plantation hires 3rd party for job issues


In a statement, SDP said its newly established Expert Stakeholder Human Rights Assessment Commission would also comprise a “Stakeholder Consultation Panel”.

KUALA LUMPUR: Sime Darby Plantation Bhd (SDP) has appointed a third-party assessor, Impactt Ltd, to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the group’s labour practices across its Malaysian operations.

Impactt is an ethical trade consultancy with expertise in detecting and remediating forced labour issues in company supply chains in line with the International Labour Organisation’s 11 indicators of forced labour.
