Dominant Enterprise suspends Muar operations after two workers found Covid-positive

KUALA LUMPUR: Dominant Enterprise Bhd has suspended its operations in Muar, Johor, until Feb 25, 2021, for a disinfection and sanitisation exercise after two of its workers tested positive for Covid-19.

It said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia that the two workers in its factory-cum-warehouse in Kawasan Perindustrian Bukit Pasir in Muar tested positive for the coronavirus during a screening exercise carried out for all its employees in Muar.

The two workers have since been placed under quarantine and separated from the other workers.

Dominant Enterprise said the temporary suspension will have minimal impact on the group's operations and financial performance for the financial year ending March 31, 2021.

"The Company will continue to work closely with the relevant authorities to ensure that our operations will resume with the well-being of employees being safeguarded at all times," it said.
