Sime Darby commemorates 110th anniversary

Sime Darby chief executive officer Datuk Jeffri Salim Davidson (pic) said the group’s 110th anniversary was a meaningful milestone for Sime Darby. “A multinational company with presence in 18 countries, Sime Darby truly reflects the extraordinary growth of a humble Malayan company into a global multinational player.”

PETALING JAYA: Sime Darby Bhd has launched a coffee table book to commemorate its 110th anniversary and illustrate its evolution from the group’s humble beginnings to its transformation into a multinational with operations in Malaysia, China, Australia and other parts of the world.

Titled "Futures Made Better - Sime Darby at 110", the book showcases Sime Darby’s history from its establishment in 1910 as Sime Darby & Co Ltd, through the merger of two smaller firms of plantation managers, Sime and Moorhouse, and Darby and Watson.
