KUALA LUMPUR: The recovery in the Malaysian manufacturing sector moderated in January due to rising Covid-19 case numbers and stricter restrictions to try and curb the further spread of the virus, according to IHS Markit’s survey.
In its Malaysia Manufacturing PMI statement issued on Monday, the headline MPI -- a composite single-figure indicator of manufacturing performance – slipped to 48.9 in January from 49.1 in December.
