BEIJING: China’s non-financial outbound direct investment (ODI) in 58 countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) rose 18.3% to US$17.79bil in 2020 despite the 0.4% fall in the overall non-financial ODI to US$110.15bil, the Ministry of Commerce said.
Non-financial ODI into the BRI-involved economies accounted for 16.2% of the total non-financial ODI in 2020, up 2.6 percentage points from a year earlier, said Gao Feng, a spokesman for the ministry.
