Two Menang Corp shareholders seek removal of four directors

KUALA LUMPUR: Two shareholders of Menang Corporation Bhd, who hold a combined 13.29% stake, have called for an EGM to remove four directors.

The company said it had on Monday received a special notice from Datuk Lee Chin Hwa, who holds a 8.31% stake, and Nicholas Pun Chee Cheang 4.98%, who had sought for the EGM.

In the notice, they sought that Raja Shahruddin Rashid, Dr Christopher Shun Kong Leng, Wong Koon Wai and N. Sivagurunathan V. Narayanasamy be removed as directors with immediate effect.

They said Yee Chun Lin and Chee Wai Hong have consented to act as directors.

“The board of the company shall be seeking legal advice from the company’s solicitors on the next course of action to take in response to the notice, ” it said.
