JP Morgan strategists say US$40,000 is key test for bitcoin boom


The pattern of demand for bitcoin futures and the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust, the largest traded crypto fund, will provide clues about the outlook.

NEW YORK: Bitcoin could be at risk of a further drop unless the digital coin climbs back above US$40,000 soon.

That’s the view of JP Morgan Chase & Co strategists including Nikolaos Panigirtzoglou, who said the cryptocurrency could be hurt by an exodus of trend-following investors unless it can “break out” beyond that price level.
