Top Glove Corp Bhd on Wednesday said all of its 28 factories in Klang, Selangor have resumed operations with stricter adherence to health standards.
But dissatisfied shareholders are calling for the removal of its directors over the board’s ineffectiveness in Covid-19 mitigation and inadequate oversight of workers’ welfare.
BlackRock, the world’s largest asset management firm and a minority shareholder in Top Glove, said it had voted against the resolutions to reappoint the company’s independent non-executive directors at the AGM on Wednesday. Despite the opposition, all the resolutions at the AGM were carried.
