Five SKP Resources staff tested positive for Covid-19


KUALA LUMPUR: Five employees of SKP Resources Bhd's unit Syarikat Sin Kwang Plastic Industries Sdn Bhd have been tested positive for Covid-19.

The company announced on Friday the management has immediately notified the Ministry of Health (MoH) and have identified close contacts of the affected employees for swab test.

SKP said it was ensuring the affected employees were provided proper medical care and placed in quarantine.

The management is awaiting further directives from MoH.

It also said it had immediately carried out disinfection and sanitisation measures at all its facilities to protect the health and safety of the workforce and the community.

SKP added it will continue to adhere to the standard operating procedures as directed by the MoH to ensure the necessary safeguards are in place to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and to ensure the employees are provided a safe and healthy working environment.

“The company will continue to monitor the situation and any development will be announced to Bursa Securities in due course, ” it said.
