HANOI: Vietnam will strive to achieve a gross domestic product (GDP) growth of about 6.5% in 2021, higher than the target of 6% earlier assigned by its top legislature, according to a resolution issued recently by the local government.
The document, with details on the socio-economic development plan and state budget estimates in 2021, states that Vietnam will also eye an average GDP per capita of some US$3,700, a consumer price index hike of about 4%, and social health insurance coverage of around 91%, local daily newspaper Vietnam News reported.
