KUALA LUMPUR: The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) is temporarily closing its Kota Kinabalu office and counters from Thursday until further notice.

It said in a statement on Thursday a staff was recently tested positive for Covid-19.

The EPF said the temporary closure was for the management of the premises to conduct disinfection and sanitisation.

The employee is now receiving treatment for recovery while contact tracing is currently underway.

It also advised members who have made prior appointments to log onto the Janji Temu Online facility to reschedule their visits to a later date.

It added members may also visit other EPF branches in Sabah, which continue to operate as usual, or transact online via i-Akaun for selected services.
