After two days of limit-ups, Bursa Securities had frozen the upper limit in the share price of Toyo Ventures.
KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia Securities has maintained the upper limit for the securities of Toyo Ventures and its warrants after they hit limit-up over the past two days.
The regulator said on Thursday the upper limit price for the shares would be maintained at RM1.69 and for the warrants 2020/2023, at 79.5 sen.
Stock market data showed Toyo Ventures' share price surged 39 sen to RM1.69 with 732,600 shares done while Toyo Venture-WB 30 sen to 79.5 sen with 4.23 million units done in Thursday's trade.
The freeze on the upper limit of the prices will take effect when the market reopens on Monday, Jan 4.
The shares attracted strong interest over the past two days after it finally executed the build, operate and transfer (BOT) contract with Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The contract was to build the US$3.23bil Song Hau 2 thermal power plant project, which was first announced in 2008.
