POWERING THROUGH THE CHALLENGES OF 2020

The XOX AI ecosystem, covering 13 key innovation projects across four main pillars, will ensure Malaysians have alternatives to generate income.

AGAINST the backdrop of the tumultuous year, mobile virtual network operator XOX Bhd has been practicing a new and better way of doing things.

Ever since it began its journey in 2009, XOX has placed priority on customer experience and satisfaction as key aspects for each innovation it embarks on.

Fast forward to 2020, with the world shaken by the waves of Covid-19 that have not only shifted the way people live their lives but also how businesses operate, countless sectors are suffering from the potential economic downturn, the effects of which could last for years to come.

The past few months bore witness to a fair number of companies announcing extreme measures such as downsizing and lay-offs, with some unfortunate ones having to raise the white flag of surrender in the current situation.

Statistics show that over 30,000 SMEs in Malaysia have closed down and over 90,000 Malaysians have lost their jobs - demonstrating the impact of the pandemic on people from all walks of life, be it small business owners, or blue and white-collar workers.

But where others may have faltered, XOX instead powered up through the challenging year by managing to create 20,000 jobs for Malaysians through its Online Dealer Affiliate programme.

The programme, part of the whole XOX digital ecosystem, has helped thousands of dealers to generate income in a new, better way.

It does so by enabling dealers to manage their business anywhere and at any time just using their phones, meaning that all dealers have to do is to enrich themselves with business managing skills, with XOX taking care of the stock, delivery and other services.

Dealers are also able to access a fully digital system to manage their business daily, while consumers will be able to experience a true digital lifestyle with everything accessible at their fingertips.

Putting Malaysians first

By creating a comprehensive digital ecosystem, XOX envisions to empower Malaysians to generate income and advance quality consumer experience to users nationwide.

In the first phase of its digital ecosystem, a main focus for XOX is the ePartnership Programme (ePP). Currently, it is open exclusively for existing dealers to generate additional income by selling an array of products, aside from SIM cards - ultimately, contributing to extra income every month. This way, dealers can earn up to RM3,000 a month by utilising the XOX platform and programme.

That said, the ePP will be open to the public soon, so anyone who is interested to join the programme can send enquiries via the XOX website or through social media platforms.

Extending the effort of caring for the wellbeing of Malaysians, XOX has also launched the XOX PA Insurance plan, where all XOX subscribers are now able to have access to an insurance plan for free.

Understanding the importance of incorporating added value service in the products in the market, XOX is opening doors for the public to gain access to one of the most crucial needs of modern society.

For the company, this initiative was created to help Malaysians in case of medical emergencies, which contribute to their overall wellbeing, during the pandemic.

Apart from that, XOX is aggressively working on building a solid artificial intelligence ecosystem within their current SIM card, in addition to blockchain and e-commerce projects.

These innovative projects will intertwine in the same ecosystem that is set to benefit Malaysians overall, especially in terms of creating job opportunities.

Ultimately, for XOX, the ultimate goal is to empower Malaysians in better generating income during this hard time by leveraging its platforms.
