PETALING JAYA: WCT Holdings Bhd
has executed an articles of agreement with MRCB George Kent Sdn Bhd (MRCBGK), following the latter’s appointment as a turnkey contractor for the Light Rail Transit 3 (LRT3) project.
This was a result of the change from a project delivery partnership to a turnkey contractor pursuant to a contract between Prasarana Malaysia Bhd and MRCBGK.
WCT said pursuant to the agreement, its scope of works of the LRT3 from Bandar Utama to Johan Setia had been revised, with a new contract price of RM819mil.
The revised completion date for the LRT3 project would be Nov 30,2023, the construction company added.
WCT said the revision of works was related to packages GS02 and GS03 of the LRT project.
In total, the group had won three packages under LRT3 in 2017. These packages were estimated to be worth a total of RM1.7bil originally. WCT’s shares rose half a sen to close at 53 sen yesterday.
