Paying more for CPO


According to Malaysian Palm Oil Association chief executive officer Datuk Nageeb Wahab (pic), palm oil importers will pay higher in US dollars for each tonne of palm oil.

PETALING JAYA: The stronger ringgit against the US dollar could erode the competitiveness of crude palm oil (CPO) in the export markets, say industry experts.

Since last month, the local currency has consistently traded below RM4.15 per US dollar as it maintained its upward momentum.
