AiAsia shares up on BigPay prospects


As at 10am, shares in AirAsia Group gained five sen to 93 sen while AirAsia X rose 3.5 sen to 10.5 sen.

KUALA LUMPUR: AirAsia Group Bhd’s shares on Bursa Malaysia gained momentum on Wednesday morning as the airline group looks to clinch the final approval for its lending business, BigPay, by the first quarter of next year (Q1 2021).

Last month, AirAsia was among the eight "licensed credit community” companies that obtained the approval of the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) to provide online loans.
