Aeon in for higher profitability ahead

Aeon is planning to launch its virtual mall platform by the second quarter (Q2) of FY21, which is expected to add value for its mall tenants.

PETALING JAYA: Aeon Co (M) Bhd’s efforts to restructure its cost and adapt to the new retail landscape would provide better profitability for the company in the long run.

In a report, MIDF Research said it is upbeat on the retailer’s longer-term prospects despite near-term challenges caused by the pandemic and expects performance in financial year 2021 (FY21) to be better than this year, although it may not be recovering to the pre-pandemic level yet.
