SEOUL: Foreign holdings of South Korean stocks hit a record high last month amid a strong local currency to the US dollar and expectations for global economic recovery, financial watchdog data showed yesterday.
Offshore investors purchased a net 6.13 trillion won (US$5.7bil) worth of domestic stocks in November, according to the Financial Supervisory Service, marking the biggest foreign buy in seven years since September 2013. — Xinhua
