UMW Holdings expects improved results


UMW Holdings president and group CEO Datuk Ahmad Fuaad Kenali said, “With the easing of MCOs and lockdowns, the group is gradually registering improved financial results.

PETALING JAYA: UMW Holdings Bhd has posted a net profit of RM101.3mil in the third quarter ended Sept 30 compared with a RM78.44mil net loss in the preceding quarter on the improved performance of all its main segments, spurred by the sales tax exemption for the automotive industry.

During the quarter under review, group revenue was 74.1% higher than the preceding quarter at RM2.66bil.
