Lower profit for Hong Leong Industries


Hong Leong Industries board remained cautiously optimistic that the group’s performance for the financial year ending June 30,2021 will be satisfactory.

PETALING JAYA: Hong Leong Industries Bhd’s net profit for the first quarter ended Sept 30 declined 19.93% year-on-year (y-o-y) to RM50.72mil as its operations have yet to recover from the adverse impacts of Covid-19.

This came on the back of RM652.66mil of revenue, which was 9.27% lower y-o-y.

The board remained cautiously optimistic that the group’s performance for the financial year ending June 30,2021 will be satisfactory.

It has declared a dividend of 17 sen per share for the quarter.
