Guan Chong posts higher revenue


The confectionery manufacturer’s net profit slid 22.7% to RM46.78mil for the third quarter ended Sept 30, from RM60.53mil in the corresponding period last year.

PETALING JAYA: Despite posting higher revenue, Guan Chong Bhd saw its earnings decline due to lower margins.

The confectionery manufacturer’s net profit slid 22.7% to RM46.78mil for the third quarter ended Sept 30, from RM60.53mil in the corresponding period last year.

Consequently, its earnings per share (EPS) fell to 4.61 sen from 6.33 sen previously.
