Asia Brands income rises


Asia Brands revenue was 9.3% higher year-on-year at RM49.2mil during the quarter.

PETALING JAYA: Asia Brands Bhd posted a higher net profit of RM5.35mil for its second quarter ended Sept 30 compared to RM1.3mil a year earlier, due to higher revenue, better cost management and lower finance cost following repayment of borrowings.

Revenue was 9.3% higher year-on-year at RM49.2mil during the quarter.

For the first half under review, net profit grew 62% year-on-year to RM9.58 million, while revenue was 15% lower at RM83.9 million.

The group, which operates baby products and lingerie businesses, said its financial performance had remained resilient despite the impact of the movement control orders.
