Taliworks contract ends

PETALING JAYA: Taliworks Corp Bhd’s 25-year privatisation contract to manage and maintain the water supply system on Pulau Langkawi expired on Oct 31.

The company said yesterday the Oct 7,1995, contract was between its unit, Taliworks (Langkawi) Sdn Bhd and the government of Kedah.

“Upon expiration of the privatisation contract, the operations have been handed over to Syarikat Air Darul Aman Sdn Bhd, a corporatised body under the Kedah Government, ” it said in a statement to Bursa Malaysia.
