Impact of DRB-Hicom’s Melaka land buy seen minimal

DRB-Hicom is acquiring nine parcels of freehold land and one parcel of leasehold land measuring 287.7 acres in Alor Gajah, Melaka for RM240mil cash from Tradewinds Plantation Bhd.

PETALING JAYA: DRB-Hicom Bhd is expected to incur minimal financial impact from its recent proposed purchase of a piece of land in Melaka.

Analysts said the deal allows the group to replenish its industrial landbank in Melaka and pursue the development of new industrial parks in the state.
