PETALING JAYA: Ace Market-listed Parlo Bhd has made two new appointments, with Ti Lian Seng as its executive director and Md Radzi Din as independent non-executive director.
Ti will drive the company’s expansion into migrant workforce management services from source to destination countries as it moves beyond leisure, corporate and meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions (Mice) travel and ancillary services.
The group said in a statement that the strategic expansion was expected to provide it with a new revenue source, initially from Asean markets and then globally.
The new services will include travel, logistics and dormitory arrangements, medical examinations, vocational training, provision of micro-financing and digital identity solutions to digitise the process end-to-end.
Ti had a long association with the Green Packet group, his last position being the chief executive officer of KipleLive.
Prior to his stint at Green Packet, Ti was chief information officer of Webe/Unifi Mobile, chief technology officer of Packet One and vice-president of operations at LogicaCMG.
“Digital identity or e-ID will totally transform migrant workforce management services. With secured e-visa channel and general payment gateway, it will enable seamless and authenticated banking, travel, insurance and ancillary commercial services that provide tremendous convenience to migrant workers.
“These value-added services will create a significant and sustainable business pipeline for Parlo, ” Ti said.
Radzi is also associated with the Green Packet group, through senior appointments with its holding company and subsidiaries.
He is currently CEO of Atilze Digital Sdn Bhd and Atilze A.I Sdn Bhd. He was formerly with Sapura Group for over 18 years.
Parlo CEO Dani Yap said Ti brought with him an exemplary track record and deep experience in the digital technology space that would be absolutely critical for the group to value-add and disrupt the migrant workforce management services space.
