PGas proposes RM3bil sukuk

PLNG 2,65% owned by PGas, had lodged the programme with the Securities Commission for a tenure of 30 years from the date of the first issue.

KUALA LUMPUR: Petronas Gas Bhd’s (PGas) subsidiary Pengerang LNG (Two) Sdn Bhd (PLNG 2) plans to issue an Islamic medium-term notes (sukuk murabahah) programme of up to RM3bil.

PLNG 2,65% owned by PGas, had lodged the programme with the Securities Commission for a tenure of 30 years from the date of the first issue.

PGas said the programme has been assigned an indicative rating of AAA by Malaysian Rating Corp Bhd. The proceeds shall be used to repay shareholders’ advances and/or redemption of redeemable preference shares, including any associated costs.
