No recovery from Covid-19 just yet for hotel industry


MAHO executive director Shahabuddin M. Saaid tells StarBizWeek earlier this week that they were seeking additional support from the government as the end of September also spells the end of government support.

THE outlook for the hotel and hospitality industry continues to be hazy with the Covid-19 pandemic unravelling with new clusters being discovered.

The situation in the hotel industry is yet to stabilise, the Malaysian Association of Hotel Owners (Maho) says. The association has 97 members who own 200 hotels in the three, four and five-star category.
