July figures show economy is better


Ddomestic passenger movement also increased by 215.8% compared to the previous month and the number of cars on tolled highways rose by 7.4% month-on-month.

PETALING JAYA: Exports have increased, sale of passenger cars and commercial vehicles are on the rise and the early economic indicators for July are that the nation’s economy is improving.

Deputy Finance Minister II Mohd Shahar Abdullah said exports improved by 3.1% year-on-year, while sales of cars and vehicles rose by 27.3% and 44.8% respectively for the month, compared to June.
