Ekovest mulls buying stake in Bandar Malaysia builder

PETALING JAYA: Ekovest Bhd is considering a proposal to buy a stake in the company involved in developing the multi-bilion-ringgit Bandar Malaysia project.

The board will deliberate and commence exclusive negotiations with Iskandar Waterfront Holdings Sdn Bhd (IWH) on the equity stake purchase proposal. The proposal is for Ekovest to take over and buy the 40% equity interest held by IWH in IWH CREC Sdn Bhd, a joint venture between IWH and China Railway Engineering Corp (M) Sdn Bhd (CRECM).
